aps Member 1,505 Member For: 21y 8m 24d Posted 20/01/04 11:21 AM Author Share Posted 20/01/04 11:21 AM I am very keen for the plug in module, as I always want the option to return my car to completely stock condition if the need ever arose.I would be happy with around tree fiddy kw's.(350kw for those "uneducated" ones  )MS700 I think most would would be stoked with 350Kw. The plug in loom looks very promising and most guys like the idea, all we need now is to finish the BLOODY thing its always easier to start a project than to finish it.PETERAPS

Beyond that, spend $30k on a proper race car.Speaking of a proper race-car, how about a Phase 4 type deal in a dragster?350+kw and 600kgs should be good for 8's. Anyone got 2 or 3 spare bare motors available for development?DAVOWA what a good idea, I have the engine you get the rail, 8;s here we come, though dont think we do much good at Bathurst.PETERAPS

aps Member 1,505 Member For: 21y 8m 24d Posted 20/01/04 11:55 AM Author Share Posted 20/01/04 11:55 AM I#300I don't know about you guys but I have owned a few turbo cars before and the thing that kills the ford is the amount of lag this car has.I don't really care about getting big KW gains, all I want is great throttle response minimal lag and about 300 kw at the engine.I know Phase 1 gives around 280-290 kw with just engine management so I would like to able to get the revised inlet manifold and piping in stage 2Peter the plug in module is a the best part of the system, and I am quite impressed with the intercooler too Perfect system would be all Aps components with Nizpro inlet mainfold and a nice set of brembo brakes on the front.oop's I better stop drooling now, keyboard is flooded :lol:JUINOR, 300Kw is real easy to achieve, though the best way to improve response and turbo lag is to reduce the massive back pressure in the exhaust system which is present at the 300Kw power level. The plug in loom will certainly speed up the installation of the UNICHIP and makes it much easier to return the car to stock position. The inlet manifold in my opinion would not improve the response in fact it may very well hurt low RPM torque as the stock ford Inlet manifold is all about improving low RPM torque by a having very long inlet tract. aps Member 1,505 Member For: 21y 8m 24d Posted 20/01/04 12:05 PM Author Share Posted 20/01/04 12:05 PM Hey Peter,For me it would be 280-300kw at the fly wheel and better brakes. A few years down the track I will be then looking at about the 330 - 350kw. I don't want to spend (can't) too much too early. A chip is perfect for me & am eagerly awaiting the info session re the plug in setup.CheersChief, I think your wants are similar to most xr6t owners, a bit more go and a lot more whoa, your needs are very easy to get, the plug in loom and UNICHIP with larger injectors and a decent set of rotors and pads and your done for now, unless the power bug bites again. Guest Big Mick Guests Posted 20/01/04 06:54 PM Share Posted 20/01/04 06:54 PM Stage II for me, however I'm not confident that either the auto or manual will reliably cope with that power increase for a decent length of time. Unless I drive like my grandmother!

aps Member 1,505 Member For: 21y 8m 24d Posted 20/01/04 09:00 PM Author Share Posted 20/01/04 09:00 PM Sorry to be a pain but I have a couple more questions.Does the new plug in version include bigger injectors for the ~$1650?If not how much more fitted? How much for the APS exhaust , from what I have read it reeks of quality ?Can it be purchased separately ?As you can tell Feb/March cant come quick enough.CheersWhiteTeeWHITE TEE The UNICHIP installed and tuned IS currently $I650 with b4 and after power graphs.I hope in the near future to release the unichip with a matched set of BOSCH multi orifice injectors (440cc ) at a very attractive price. The injectors are quite expensive, as they are imported from BOSCH though they are the real deal ( not nasty cheap pintle type ) and are perfect for the xr6t power upgrade. I hope that we can supply this upgrade call it PHASE I.5 (at around 300Kw ) for approx $2600 installed and tuned with B4 and after power graphs. These injectors can support power up to approx 375Ww so they have a broad operating range to cater for more extreme mod's into the future. We will sell the exhaust system separately though only from APS in melbourne at this time and the cost will be approx $2495 this includes the monster 3.5'' cat which is the key element in removing the high exhaust back pressure which is evident at 280 Kw and above. Thanks for your questions I hope my answers are clear enough as I am trying to keep my posts to the point.PETERAPS
