Ratter is there a way to change the tyre size values on the ECU? There must be some pre defined value the sensor is expecting if the front and rear rolling diameter have to be exact

Would the rolling diameter difference alone be enough to cause all these problems? I'm surprised as its only a difference of 3mm give or take

Thanks for that Ralph

Ive booked it into Peter Warren smithfield on monday and will get them to check it out as it's due for a service as well.

Just wanted to know if it was worth asking Ford to change the set tyre size

I'll post up what they find

You can only set the tyre/wheel size to a predetermined set of values (as has already been mentioned).

When the calibrations for DSC, TCS, ABS, SAS behaviour, etc, were developed they were created for the tyre/wheel sizes available on the FG program (ie, 17, 18, and 19 inch. From memory we may have had a 16inch steel wheel too once?). Therefore, the only choices you would have are those, since they are the only sizes that a calibration exists for, unless you're friendly with Bosch and don't mind taking your car to Sweden to spin around on the ice for a while...

OK guys got Ford to look at the car today and looked at the error codes. They disconnected the battery for a while and put grease on the battery terminals and said the car was fine and noted my wider wheels are the probable cause for the sensors going off and to give it 2 weeks and see how it goes and rebook if theres any problems

While driving home I noticed that the avg fuel timer had been reset and was counting down from 30L /100km. also noticed ABS was behaving itself and no DSC Fault in sight *touch wood* but gear changes still flaring which could be a separate issue (due for oil flush)

got home went to turn the car off and the little red error light still flashes on the top right of the dash so I hooked up the OBD2 adapter and ran a fault code search using Torque app

it came up with:

P1000 - Powertrain - Battery had recently been disconnected at Ford so not too worried about that

P1260 - Powertrain - Previous theft condition or Anti Theft System failure - I noticed the alarm went off a few times at the dealer so it could be from that

B1318 - Body - Battery voltage low - Maybe the battery still needs charging or the battery is on its last legs?

Would it be wise to clear these codes and see what new ones pop up or should I hold off and take it back to Ford to show them?

I also mentioned to Ford that the DSC fault and airbag fault lights only ever came on when I went to start the car as the key was on reds (car was stationary on both occasions) and not moving

I just want to get to the bottom of this as I'm approaching the end of my warranty so I figure now is the time to sort this out in case its a sensor or module causing this which could cost $$$$

Typo - meant to say little red light flashes on the top left of the dash not top right. Looks like a car with a padlock in red

Was too late to edit when I saw it
