Bonnet Bulge!

Horse rubbish mine was a 09 with paint in bad shape. Waited about 2 months after spraying the bonnet then wet sanded it and buffed and polished the whole car.

Bumper and guards will always be 2 different colors as they are painted in 2 different factories and the bumpers have a different paint I was told.

thanks guys. still deciding anyway. the panel shops were a bit unsure of fitting an aftermarket bonnet. going on the positive responses on ebay it couldnt be toooo bad though.

I suggest those who are talking about panels "fading", should perform a paint correction on any surrounding panels before taking their car to a bodyshop to get the bonnet resprayed. Chances are your top clear coats just marred and oxidised to the clappers.

I bought a steel Ford OEM one off egay for $300 and got it resprayed silhouette and fitted for around $550. Brand new from Ford they're worth around 2k unsprayed from memory, while the flat OEM one on our turbos costs around $400. Pretty stupid.
