No amount of fiddling with timing/boost and cam timing helps. Using VCM suite.Intercooler (using F6 factory gear) or port flapper with bigger injectors (Currently using Bosch 440cc) ?? You need more then 12psi up top to crack 300rwkw, I had the same issue with my old BA running a stock actuator.

The power curve builds well and the torque curve is flat - but once up in the rev range, it pings. So we have to modify the tune and after lots of options already tried, that means dropping the boost back. If boost is raised any more earlier in the rev range, it cannot be controlled in the mid range. I don't care about spending more money on it but the right direction is important. Once it goes over 300, that will be enough. I think injectors and waste gate mods - but if an intercooler would do it, then that is cheaper and slightly easier fitting wise. Unless my boost gauge was wrong.Same here. Really glad I didn't need to spend more for the result (as great as a wastegate and flapper mod with actuator change would be).Nizpro cooler, probably overkill for my levels. 42lb Bosch green top injectors, standard intake (F6 snorkel mod) and Manta 2x2.5" exhaust (also not really needed, dump and cat would do it) Edited 30/08/13 04:35 AM by -SteveR-
Turkey91 Member 57 Member For: 12y 5m 11d Posted 30/08/13 05:28 AM Share Posted 30/08/13 05:28 AM I had process west stage 2 kit. 60 pound injectors And no cat. Oh and fuel pump. Had 309 with those mods. Then turbo blew up. Got a bigger one with actuator then had dramas ever since with trying to keep from over boosting. No one in darwin will do the wastegate mod. Gotta send turbo away. Which is inconvenient
