I've just bought a G6eT and I am having issues with getting my phone list to appear on the screen.

I can't find a list of phones which are verified to be compatible for all the features available.

Wife and I currently have a Galaxy S2, but it does not stream music or transfer contact list or allow voice tag calling.

Phones do pair up and receive calls handsfree, but making calls necessitates using the phone. What am I doing wrong?

Both phones are out of contract so I can upgrade them, but need to know if the bluetooth phone system in the MkII G6E works better with a specific phone.... ie either iphone 5 or Samsung S4? ( Mac vs Droid ? )

Do both these phones allow contact lists to display on the central display? ie Names and numbers? voice tags?

What about music streaming?

Any other major advantages/differences of iphone 5 over Samsung S4 in regards to feature compatibility with the Ford Bluetooth?

Wife wants an iphone 5, as she also has an iPad.... and I actually would prefer the Samsung S4,

but are they both fully compatible with the Ford bluetooth ???

I think but not 100% but may have something to do with the Fords Bluetooth module might need it changed to one that suit Samsung.

I have a iphone 4s works fine but I'm interested as well as the wife wants the new Samsung S4

On a different note I think the Samsung S4 is a better phone than the iphone 5

That's strange, my MK2 FG XR6 works fine with my old S2 but refuses to connect with my new S4. Have you tried updating the software on your S2? I attached the compatibility list as well for ya

Thanks for the replies....

The compatibility list was exactly what I was looking for.

iPhone 5 seems to tick all the boxes so wife can get one.

My existing Galaxy S2 shows it should do just about everything too, so there must be a glitch in the communication between my phone and the ICC ???

I'll try updating the phone software as suggested. Thanks.

Samsung S4 not listed..... Can someone confirm if they have had success with it.

I have no idea whether genuine or not but would not be surprised if non gen as the guy was pushing the iphone 4gs harder then the 5

Ive had mine in for the same thing. Unfortunately it threw an error code that the icc ecu is bung hence no bluetooth or ipod hook up but will still play radio and aux.

Getting fixed under mech warranty in a couple weeks.

Good news is I updated the firmware in Samsung S2 to Android 4.1.2 and Bluetooth links phone and music when I first fire up.

The ICC confirms with messages on the screen.

Music streaming works well now, and displays current song and album cover on ICC, and steering wheel control can select next track.

I can answer incoming calls with simple quick press of steering wheel control switch, or reject by holding switch longer.

I am having issues now with the voice call function..... Getting message "voice call fail" when I try to use it.

What's the trick to get the system to recognise specific call numbers when voice command is activated.

Do I need to train the phone with my voice? Or set specific functions on for voice activation?

This is an important feature as it appears contact lists are not supported for display on the ICC display.

Having to manually access the phone to select contact number at the moment. "Dohhh!"

Ciao
