After installing an xforce exhaust, and removing the sensor behind the cat (AFM?) my engine light is on. I expected it, however just want to know whether it will go away if I get a bung put in the exhaust and reinstall the sensor. I would just get a tune, however I need to upgrade to an SCT x3 from my series 1.. which is going to take me a little time.

Thoughts?

AFM is a Expensive Daewoo thing..

If you out a new cat in without a tune the car will over boost if you put your foot into it..

Tune ASAP!!

Reinstalling the sensor will help, but you will need to clear the code to make the light go out. I dont think it will stay out for long though as the Xforce cats are not as restrictive as the factory item. You will need to stay off boost till the retune too.

You could always put the stock system back on till you have saved for a xcal3.

and you still need a tune, the ecu will be trying to control boost unless turned off if using an aftermarket boost controller, but the engine light would still be coming on from the cat replacement

The controller is connected to the boost solenoid valve. then to fuel press reg and also the actuator. the boost controller bypasses the factory ecu. I dont understand why you would need a tune?
