hey peoples, just a quick one, trying to work out and issue with idling and excess fuel use. want to check timing to make sure it hasnt skipped a tooth etc. I have rotated engine a couple oftimes but am not sure what marks line up with the yellow links on chain? see pic below so far..

also how can you tell between standard valve springs and after markets ones.. ie marking etc.

Cool so there is a mark on the actual sprocket by the looks of that... Ill continue to turn and hope they line up eventually..

What about the valve springs?? Any markings for stock etc ?

unless you take the timing case off, you are not going to be able to set it up by the marks, put the motor on top dead on No1 and see where the cams sit

Yep cool, how do u guys usually work out a tooth has skipped?? Just by cam position? Or remove timing cover.

Also valve springs...... Do they have markings? Haha someone will eventually answer :)

Hey mick what part number and or item do I need to order to compress the cylinder to do valve springs , so the threaded fitting, hose then quick release air fitting ?

Any help would be sweet :)
