Does anyone know who stocks Tial gear in WA ?

Need an MVS waste gate with a .3 or .4 bar spring.

Also need to find stainless steel steam pipe for plumbing as well.

Having boost control issues with the internal gate on the mitsubishi turbo on my GSXR so going to bite the bullet and go external.

So, I sat and scratched my head a bit today about what was going wrong with this internal set up overboosting on the dyno yesterday.

We fiddled with the waste gate actuator and tried a different one, but the space restrictions and the bodgy set up it came with meant we couldn't get it to open the gate fully and the boost just kept ramping up.

Not being keen on the extra cost and f*cking around with going external, I decided to spend the day fiddling with it and see what I could come up with.

At worst, it would cost me some time end effort and I still go external.

A bit of cutting and shutting and a mod to the actuator rod almost has it spot on and, pending it actually fitting into the tight space it needs to go in, I think it'll now work.

Basically, we just shortened the pivot on the waste gate arm so I'd get more opening for less movement on the actuator.

Also swapped the pin over to the other side because that was sh*t.

Cut the clevis down and welded some flat bar on instead.

A bit of bending should get the actuator sitting at a better angle.

So now it opens heaps more.

This is with 8 psi.

Note the brown tinge is from the Roo16 fuel I just started using.

The rust is from the C16 I think, bits of it have been flying out the dump pipe.

Some of it into my finger! Safety glasses on after that

All back together with new oil and filter and ready to go.

Barring any last minute changes in plan, it's back on the rollers tomorrow night after work.
