I may be slightly bias but if the GTS is that good, write up a comparrison selling the GTS. Dont hang sh*t on the Ford making the GTS just better in comparrison. Also doing it in the wet is less than ideal and as he said, the GT was not driven to its full potential.and in the drag race clearly hits the brakes.

There is a far better more neutral comparrion between the GTS and a AMG. Funnily alot of the GTS faults in that video are the Pros in this video. I am sure the GTS will be a great car. Essentially whats not to like, massive SC V8, massive brakes, heaps of tech and adjustable suspesion, it just wears the wrong badge. Its a new generation model with a heap of money thrown at the whole develpment whereas the GT is the last of the FGs already on a shoestring and is close to making way for a new model. For me though it has not lived up to the hype surrounding its release. None of the reviews have matched HSVs "claimed" figures which in themselves were a little average after they were talking the car up. 4.4s to 100 is not comfortably faster the 4.5s like they were quoting. These cars on the numbers (apart from price, my GT was $72k) are going to be much closer to each other than HSV would like. They have after all shunned FPV and discarded them as a rival. Although it is just another figure, Wheels tested the Rspec with a 4.5s sprint to 100 and a 1/4mile of 12.6s. When they tested the GTS its was slower across both. Bragging rights still remain with the RSpec for now. Unfortunately that's about it.

I agree with your comment.Didn't Wheels manage a 12.8s for the 1/4 mile???.As Expensive Daewoo have pointed out their GTS is not a FPV rival but a rival for the German brands such as BMW,AUDI,MERC etc.The AMG destroys it the 1/4 mile by 1/2 second.The AUDI RS will do the same and also out handle it.The BMW M5 may also outperform it.I know people will use the dollar rational but that argument,in my opinion, has been taken of the table when GMH announced it as a competitor for the European brands!

Even though the Wheels comparo edged the GTS in front by 1/2 a point,probably 8/10 people would still rather own the AMG.

Why take it for a tune when he is comparing 2 stock Factory cars... If he tuned the Rspec its not stock... Stupid farking comment that one..

My guess Pazz is that he has never (or very rarely) driven a Falcon therefore doesn't understand the characteristics of it which I can understand cause when I jumped out of my Calais and into the G6, it did take me a little while to get used to it.

IMHO, a waste of time watching the video and as pointed out above, he spent his time driving the Ford...why?

Wonder if it was a 'paid' comparison and not a true head2head (un-biased) test.

The comparisons generally favour the new kid on the block.The GTS is a superior car with its tech,suspension tuning and brakes but from other performance testing from the GTS so far shows the R spec still ahead in its 0-100 and 1/4 times.I think the 2 are very close in that regard.

My understanding on talking to Holden , was that the initial orders(taken in May 2013) were filled for expected delivery in Sept 2013 , with orders taken now - purchased not expecting to see their car until Nov/Dec 2013 , or possible Jan 2014 .

They have not been build to a specific number as Ford have done with their GT's ........
