My ute was making a few creaking noises in the front and rear.Tightened up the rear leaf bolts and gave em a spray with WD. Was sweet. Then after a week they start making the noise again.?????Then was getting a noise from front end when I turn at slow speed. Say into drive way/ 3 point turn.Got rack end tightened and still making the noise. Its really sh*tting me. What could it be? Struts maybe? Will get worse before it gets better sorry chief, they are taxis with turbos.
chaydon1 Member 42 Member For: 11y 9m 29d Gender: Male Posted 22/08/13 07:53 AM Author Share Posted 22/08/13 07:53 AM Well there has to be some mechanical reason its doing this. Things dont simply make a noise because somebody named that car Ford does it. Not very clever are ya pal lol.Anyone got any useful/not stupid answers? Im pretty sure I got the back sorted I found a thread for the leafs

You'll see wingnuts response is valid.. But I'd be checking suspension bushes and CV joints.. There are so many things that could be squeaking though.. Wingnut Member 573 Member For: 16y 4m 15d Gender: Male Posted 22/08/13 10:36 PM Share Posted 22/08/13 10:36 PM I should have been a little more descriptive like SDP but I'm not a troll mate. I was just trying to save you a lot of time and effort. I have an FG and it has squeaked in a handful of different places on and off since I bought it. Its something that will drive you insane if you let it. Every time I think I have figured one out another will pop up. Once again it comes down to the build quality of these cars which isn't first class.

Something in the dash used to squeak as I turned into my driveway.. It was probably the most inconsequential thing.. But I was so focused on that noise every time I turned into my driveway it sent me nuts.. However I was smart enough not to disassemble my dashboard..

Check your sway linkage nuts as these tend to loosen off sometimes. If your getting creaking it can sometimes be grim and crap in between your spring coils. Ive had this on a Subaru before. Annoyed me no end.
