Had a bit of a search but seem to be quite a few old threads on it

Wanting to get new rotors with remsa pads but my wheels are hard enough to clean as it is, let alone all the extra dust from the remsas.

Been looking for a good spray on/wash off brake dust cleaner that I can do every few days to keep the wheels looking good. Also don't want it to ruin the paint or coating on the wheels.

Noticed this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzHf-xTO40Y but after personal views

Cheers

Use a degreaser and then pressure wash works well but not sure if it will damage the plastidip

other than that soapy water and a sponge with some elbow grease

I wash my car with a product called Iron X from Car Pro.

I get it from Waxit online.

It great on brake dust, fallout or any oxidation on paint work as it converts the rust back to bare metal.

A bonus is it changes color from pink to purple as it goes through process making it easy to spot problem areas.

I actually took a photo today when washing my car to post up for others.

This shot was a rust spot on bonnet from stone chip.

If you wanted to use for brake dust cleaner just put into spay bottle spay on rims, let it do it thing hose off.

Yea I thought about degreaser but was a bit worried about ruining the clear coat. Don't have plastidip (at the moment) so not worried there

I usually use a pressure washer but only have one in Griffith not here in Canberra with me

Just saw that Iron X on the fordforum. How much did you pay mate? Waxit's site is down

Just watched video and the product he is using acts exactly the same as Iron X.

I did notice he has two foam lances with a yellow liquid in the back ground and the brake cleaner is a weaker yellow solution. Begs the question is the brake cleaner just watered down for profit.

I buy Iron X in concentrate to use in foam lance and to mix as required to strength needed.

I have remsa's and king matrix wheels, what a absolute pain the arse of a setup.

I have tried the cheap way of degreaser/truck wash/pressure cleaning and had ok results

Iron x worked well

Bowdens wheely clean works just as well and is easy to get (Autobarn and the like) so yeah, I just use that now and im happy! Hose on, quick brush in the hard to get bits, hose off, drink beer

I use Wolf's Chemicals Decon Gel to clean wheels and brakes. It's basically the same thing as Iron X (deironizing gel). Works great for removing brake dust and fall out on paint aswell, AFAIK safe on all surfaces. Stinks like crap but highly recommended.
