GeGe6 Donating Members 1,978 Member For: 12y 7m 5d Gender: Male Location: Perth, SOR Posted 20/08/13 11:59 AM Share Posted 20/08/13 11:59 AM I wash my car with a product called Iron X from Car Pro.I get it from Waxit online.It great on brake dust, fallout or any oxidation on paint work as it converts the rust back to bare metal.A bonus is it changes color from pink to purple as it goes through process making it easy to spot problem areas.I actually took a photo today when washing my car to post up for others.This shot was a rust spot on bonnet from stone chip.If you wanted to use for brake dust cleaner just put into spay bottle spay on rims, let it do it thing hose off. Don't have plastidip (at the moment) so not worried thereI usually use a pressure washer but only have one in Griffith not here in Canberra with meJust saw that Iron X on the fordforum. I did notice he has two foam lances with a yellow liquid in the back ground and the brake cleaner is a weaker yellow solution. Begs the question is the brake cleaner just watered down for profit. It's basically the same thing as Iron X (deironizing gel). Works great for removing brake dust and fall out on paint aswell, AFAIK safe on all surfaces. Stinks like crap but highly recommended.
