Does anyone have an indication of what the price range of the new XR8 will be?

Also I read something yesterday that the FGX will be able to dial triple zero in the even that the air bags get deployed?

Apparently some of the smaller modern Fords already have this option?

Early reports were putting the XR8 around the 50K mark which would have me very interested...

I'm not sure if it's because I don't have a previous gen falcon anymore or if I'm actually sick in the head but I like the look of the XR8 - gotta agree about the badges being an afterthought though.

I've read it'll probably land somewhere between the $50,000-$70,000 range. Who knows though.

The FGX will have Sync 2, which has the features you describe. Personally, after watching some videos of Sync 2 in action, I'd be pretty interested to see if it'll be able to be retrofitted into an FG Mk2...as that would make my GT feel a little less like it's audio system is lagging compared to the VF offering. Would also give me an excuse to paint the ICC surround and centre console piano black while it's all out :wwww:

What years the falcon doin a runner? That'll be the year I get either a late model 'FGGT' or a run out FGX xr8.. either way the supercharger will finally come home.

Yeah if it was around the 50K mark, I think I might be interested too, it would definitely be allot of car for the money.

Though in all honestly I have never driven a supercharged V8, even though the power delivery is linear, does the thing feel fast?

Or is it one of those deceptively fast cars, where you don't feel it as much as a turbo, but the thing moves...

Can anyone with a supercharged V8 describe the feel??...lol

It's a very different feeling to my old XR6 Turbo. The turbo had that wall of torque down low that threw you back in your seat and felt faster to the butt dyno. The SC GT however doesn't give you that same boot to the guts but is incredibly linear and just keeps on pulling and pulling and pulling right up to the redline, which is when you notice just how fast and powerful it is. Very easy to drive around sedately other wise though, as it's so responsive and no turbo lag obviously.

Yeah I went to a Expensive Daewoo V8, after a VL Late model camira Turbo 5 speed ...and the V8 just felt frustratingly slow...

Though I would imagine a supercharged V8 would have allot more urgency, than a naturally aspirated V8...
