Looks better in the last lot of pictures, but still would not bang.

The Fusion/Mondeo is still a much nicer looking car, its a much better and cohesive overall design.

Comparing it with something (albeit completely different vehicle type) you said can be picked up for mid 50's? How does that make the XR8 worth mid 30's?

I'm not stirring either. Legit question - what comparable vehicle (I.e. high performance large "grand tourer" type sedan) is available for less than 50k?

The equvilient Expensive Daewoo Commodore, the new hyaudai sedan comming next year, name escapes me, superpower wagon v6 AWD. Edited by Kimberley Scott

The only one I can think of

XR6 Turbo

This one...

They estimate it on sale at 75k for a 3.8l V6, 62k for the poverty pack four cylinder

Expensive Daewoo SS-V low to mid 50s, still NA but does at least have the boganised interior that everyone seems to need.

So neither examples are under 50k, and both a hell of a long way from the mid 30s you reckon the XR8 is worth Kimbo.

18 k will get you a CBR 1000.

Hard to get an exact comparison hence determination.

Gone are the days when a Ford LTD was the hight of luxury performance and success.
