Boost Controler? G6Et

Hi guys. Im new to this turbo world. Only had my G6ET for a year. A couple of mods and tune. 335RWKW..

Now I dont mash the pedal every day. But do so occasionally just to blow the cobwebs out.

Since I've had it, there's only been one guy who dared. ( A fellow modified FG Turbo)

I've had many late model GM's pull up next to me. And to my supprise, none were willing.

So my question today is.

Is it possible to install a switch of some type that gives me the power I have now when I "NEED" it, and the abillity to switch it to a lower power setting to bring some fuel efficiently back.

At the moment when driving around like grandpa. I get about 320-340 k's out of a tank.

On the freeway I can get about 440k's

Any help please.....

PS: Can anyone tell me what the fuel tank capacity is??? 2009 G6ET

should be 68L and you would need to talk to your tuner about getting an economy tune, but that seems low, you must have a low average speed on your daily trip.

easy one first.....fuel tank capacity is (to my knowledge) 68 litres but I have run mine until to computer says 0km range and only been able to put 64 litres in it..

With the power, I'm wondering if a boost controller would do what you want.

Probably better to talk to your mechanic/tuner about this plus also, they may be a defectable item in some states so be aware of that

if your car is tuned in closed loop and is in good condition and tune is good, the car is already getting the cleanest fuel economy already and your driving style may need to change

OK.....68 Litres...Hmmmmmmmmm....

That answer a litte.

When I last checked the average speed. It was 36k's

Most of the time when I fill up, I'm putting in about 50-55 litres with about 30-40k's on the range.

But yesterday, I put in 55 litres with 1 k on the range and having the fule guage sitting on the first red line indicator..... Strange........???????

Any suggestion?

if they did an intank fuel pump and something got bumped, moved, bent, whatever, could this change the reading?

As far as I know. The fuel tank has never been touched. Maybe the sender is faulty or something or the float thingy in the tank is dodgey???

Who can I take this to to get checked? Is there somebody who specialises in this or should I just take it back to my tuner?

From what I can gather the range and even the needle are calculated from instant and average fuel consumption and can actually be quite inaccurate.

I can be filling up after getting to 0k's and having needle at E with 5L left in the tank still.
