Hey guys.

With my mods going on later this month I'm really excited to test my car down the 1/4 when the Perth Motorplex opens back up later this year, the car will be running (hopefully) near the 400kw mark on 98 and whatever Im able to achieve on E85.

Question is what can I do to make my time down the strip a somewhat safe one? After my BF having suffered alot of the notorious issue's common with these cars I don't want to take my chances twisting something.

I've narrowed it down to:

Trans tune

Flex plate

input shaft

driveshaft

Bushes (diff/control arms)

I'll be running NT05's if that makes a difference.

Is there anything else you seasoned guys recommend?

Cheers.

Question guy.

Sorry guys I meant Tailshaft not driveshaft (unless that's a problem area to?)

What's more important to do first, obviously I can't do them all at once as I'm on a budget.

I'm going with Monstatorque, dealt with Simon previously. Great tuner just awfully pricey compared to Rob.

make sure you get the NT05's nice and hot to release the sticky goodness.

Go to Final Drive Eng in O'Connor for the tail shaft.

Aaron, the tune is to extend the life of the box so I won't know if its worthwhile for a few years I'd say.

One thing is for sure though, it's a compromise in driving quality and you lose the smooth shifts in favour of having the clutches lock up harder and it thumps through the gear changes.

I'm not in love with it.

All those years of "2 weeks" hype and I'm not as impressed as I'd hoped, going from what I saw in Grug's car and now Phil's. Damn! Downside of needing it for a daily driver.
