The refunded my money and let me keep the speakers! I had the reference series in my last car. They were very very good. PAH Donating Members 361 Member For: 16y 3m 16d Gender: Male Posted 25/01/14 01:01 AM Share Posted 25/01/14 01:01 AM I bought a pair of Clarion speakers. They are supposed to fit into the FG factory holes. How hard is it to remove the speaker grilles and old speakers?PAH Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/85920-fg-upgrade-direct-replacement/#findComment-1451861 Share on other sites
Lennox Member 2,586 Member For: 12y 2m 8d Gender: Male Location: Perth Posted 25/01/14 01:34 AM Share Posted 25/01/14 01:34 AM You don't remove grills you remove the entire door trim. The speakers are then attached with 3 small hex head screws from memory and they just unplug from the loom These clarions really go straight in the factory mounting holes? They must fit straight in - the sales guy said so! ;-) I bought them at Summer Nats from a crowd based in Blacktown. They told me to drop round if I have problems. But I guess they will charge!PAH Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/85920-fg-upgrade-direct-replacement/#findComment-1451898 Share on other sites
