Hey all,

I was hoping to replace my tyres on my stock 19" twisty's soon, but I'm leaning towards a new set.

I think the crystal black icon zest's would look great. If they came in a 20", I'd choose them over the 19" but unfortunately they don't. I did see what was supposed to be a 20' set on ebay but the supplier said they don't make them in that size.

The rims have 4 variations with the sizes being;

19x8.5 5x114.3 ET+35

19x8.5 5x120 ET+45

19x9.5 5x114.3 ET+35

19x9.5 5x120 ET+45

I just have a few questions about the rim sizing/tyres and general fitting.

1) Am I better getting a staggered set - I.e with wider rears and thinner fronts? Or just 9.5 all around?

2) Does anyone know if these will clear 6/4 brembo's?

3) What fitment would fit an FG - Are falcons the 114.3?

4) Will a staggered fitment rub or require any guard rolling?

5) What would be the best tyre size for a staggered fit? I want to go as wide as I can on the rear without rolling guards, running insane camber or any fowling.

I have read a few tyre/wheel threads but I'm having a hard time translating it all into my situation.

Sorry about the long post guys. Cheers for the help!

Oh, and would anyone have a pic of these on a white FG? :spoton:

Staggered will look better and might give you better traction due to having a wider rear tyre. I am not sure if a 9.5" +35 would fit the front, however I doubt it.

Ask supplier.

19x8.5 5x114.3 ET+35

19x9.5 5x114.3 ET+35

4) Will a staggered fitment rub or require any guard rolling?

With the above offset guards will not need to be rolled on an FG.

19x8.5 - 245/35R19

19x9.5 - 275/30R19 or 285/30R19

I think post #2 covers it well. Also they're a nice looking wheel

I do like the staggered look but its not very practical You cant rotate tyres and what size spare would to have.

Awesome,

Thanks so much for the information guys - Appreciate it!

XtRmn8 - You're a legend! Can I ask why you have a smaller profile on the rear wheels? Why do you opt for a 30 instead of a 35 like the fronts?

That's a really good point as well Angel - I didn't even think about that actually... What do people do for a spare when they have staggered rims?

And Steve... Yeah... I was tired hahahahaha :spoton: I have vented the stock BOV, so I didn't want the pigeons to be lonely...

Cheers guys!

Dan
