Hi all. I have had a 2003 XR6T since new. The turbocharger is starting to make a "clicking" sound under load when cold. Given that the old girl has done 230k I am guessing that the turbo is on borrowed time. Can I get a heads up on the best place to purchase a new one or the best place in Sydney to have one reconditioned or repaired. I want to maintain the car stock, from memory it's. Garrett GT40 unit. Thanks in advance.

Go see Joe @ CMS. He will know the best course of action.

Or alternatively GCG turbo's, but I think they are supply only.

Do you have a Earls turbo oil feed filter kit? Or have you turfed the factory fitted turbo oil feed filter?

As far as condition, it's actually 280k old, so looking tired. Bought it, manual, fitted with PBR brakes, leather and premium sound. Added cold air kit and SS exhaust. Other than that it's stock. It's been incredibly reliable but things are starting to wear out, heater fan etc. I'm about to park it in the garage but want it in top nick before I do.

CMS- thanks. I'm based on the northern beaches but travel well.
