Just noticed its shallow mount... Best for utes hey. Normal sized subs are way better for a given price.. The box only needs to be around 1 cubic foot for most cheaper woofers its not that much space if you think about it :P mine is in 2.7 cubic feet and there's still plenty of space in the boot..

Iv got 4 10inch power series Rockford and its so far being the best setup. It all depends on what music you listen too, if its a lot of kick snare (rock, heavy music)a 10 inch will be find if its more rap etc you'd want a 12 to carry the bass a little more

Hmm yea I listen to a lot of rnb and house music at times...

I see, well I'm thinking that I should do away with the 10" box I have and just go for a pre fab 12" sub and box

from auto barn or somthing...

Some of those subs are around 1200watt but only about 200w rms, your saying this would be better than the 300w rms 10" ??

Cheers..

12" will do you better than a 10" for rnb and dance mate yeah....

just remember 3db volume increase is a double in amplifier power,

sensitivity and frequency response are the real things to compare on

Going off making my sub box in BA then FG there is no way that box has any cubic feet of space. When I made a twin 12" box it sat about 6" over the spare wheel dip just to get enough room inside to run 2 400rms subs
