Yeah dunno if they uploaded the wrong pic or not..

120x120-images-stories-tyres-595EVO.jpg

This is the 595 EVO tread pattern..

Never run the EVO's.. But I sure wasn't impressed with the 595..

I think I remember Dillz not taking his car out in the wet when running the 595 evo..

Yea I was speaking to a mate with his 400rwkw BF and loves in the dry but wet is very very average!! If you can control yourself in the wet and don't live up north they should do the job though and come in at a good price

Never heard much about the accellera in terms of performance, I'd imagine the evo's would be better given they have about a 240 treadwear. Although the accellera has lower treadwear than the achilles I'd say the 2 are comparable

I think people get two caught up on treadwear ratings thinking it means grip..

Let's remember stock dunflops have a 240 treadwear.

They can't hold down stock power let along modded..

That's very true.

My dads gt with 260rwkw would tear through his maxxis ma-z1's which I think are 260 tread wear and I recommended he Achilles 2's on and now can't spin the wheels from a standing start

that's the one I thought it was sdp..

I think grab a pair of those if I can get them at the right price then just do my own comparison between the acceleras and the evo's.

I'm getting a 255 35 19 to go on the twisties. As long as they don't bake 3rds I'll be happy.

The atr sports are gr8 at the start but there hard as buggery so they get real slippery after a while and just won't wear down. There delaminated the whole way round but still not really dead yet.

Yep.. I thought the 595's were ordinary but from some of the reviews I've read on accelera they could be a step up for you.. I personally hated the 595 tread pattern because the spaces were so large you used to get massive pieces of gravel stuck in there and you'd be driving around town listening to 'tick tick tick tick tick'.. Part of my car cleaning regime was dislodging all the gravel..

I actually find tyres very interesting.. Especially when people are looking for 'bang for buck'.. I know heaps of people here and on Late model camira forums were saying Achilles were excellent tyres for price, yet I got to see first hand on the same day that Achilles ATR sport, Falken 452's and Toyo proxes (not exactly a budget tyre) made on a mates car at a drag strip getting at least two passes on each... He had always complained about the Achilles on the street (while his car was only making 255rwkw but had 3.9 diff gears. Being an auto I think it was a pretty fair comparison.. But yeah the Achilles posted the worst time on the drag strip and have held the worst time out of any tyres he has run..

Personally after driving his car around town on the Achilles I was less than impressed..

Here's my atrs with about 15-17000 on them.

Running 1 degree of camber and 1 degree total toe on the rear static. I've since raised the car from 322mm to 345mm so that should of backed off a bit of camber hopefully.

Soon ill know 1st hand which way to go for the not so exxy tyres. Accellera vs evo. Both cost me $170 +- $10.

Haha ever heard of Fullway tyres?

I'm assuming cheap and nasty cause they don't hold a stock SS to the ground.. Got a set on a work car, 55,000kms and the rears are about 1mm off the TWI and the fronts look the same as the day they were fitted..
