Currently have 265/30/20 Dunlop Sport Maxx GT's on 20x10's and they're pretty average. Looking at 275/30/20 and need to be careful with wide shouldered tyres due to correcting my rear camberTrying to find a good compromise between grip, price and wear (obviously can't have everything but trying my best). All have AA traction and A temp. All have correct load rating tooDone a fair bit of research so far and narrowed it down too 4 tyres and basically want a bit of comparison of what people have and their thoughts and feel free to correct anything that doesn't seem right as a lot of the research is from the US.Michelin Pilot Super Sport (300 treadwear) - Brilliant dry and great wet grip. Quite quiet. Grips well in both straight line launch and cornering. - Mileage is anywhere from 30,000 to 50,000 but working on the lower end of that scale - Price - $320 + post and fitting from tirerack (need to get prices in Aus)Federal 595 Evo (240 treadwear) - Excellent dry grip but average wet grip. Good cornering grip. A bit noisey - Mileage is around about 25,000 to 30,000 - Price - $220 on ebayNitto Invo (260 treadwear) - Great wet and dry grip both launching and cornering. Everyone seems to love them on the fourm. Pretty quiet - Mileage is about 20,000 - Price - $350 from TalebAchilles ATR Sport 2 (400 treadwear) - Good dry grip and the wet is not bad, definitely step up from series one. Great bang for buck tyre. Noise isn't bad - Mileage is up around 40,000+ - Price - $220 on EbayAt the moment leaning towards the 595 evo's. Great price and great drip grip based on reviews and get a decent amount of kms out of them. I don't push the car in the wet.I think the michelin's might be getting out of price range and only concern for the invo's is mileage because I'm still at uni for 2 more years so need to consider value for money. Achilles are great value for money just unsure how well they can hold 300rwkwCheers for any help!

Higher treadwear rating, 320 I think. If your tune is savage though nothing can save your soles.
Bulletime Donating Members 937 Member For: 13y 11m 27d Gender: Male Posted 06/08/13 10:01 PM Share Posted 06/08/13 10:01 PM You know what ill recommend lol. The post and fitting from tirerack will push the PSS to around 400 but you will have near on the most grip for your kms out of what u list. All the reviews say the PSS wear like 300 but grip like 200. Looking at it try the 595s, pretty good price and will grip better than archillies and will last quite well. If your going the PSS also look at good year AS 2, watch out locally they wanted 500+ for them but could come in slightly less than the PSS, better wet but not as good in the dry. Some ppl don't like the soft sidewall on the PSS but that's pot luck. Stock on ferraris though, u know u want the same tyres as the 458, nearly same power If your not going going PSS or 595 I think u gotta look at t1s or something like that. Also don't be afraid to have different tyres front and rear.

Getting a bit frustrating having to feather the throttle to try launch good. I only spin the wheels in the first couple of gears on boost. I don't do big burnouts unless I'm ready to change tyresYea ku31'a were another I looked at and they seem to rate quite well but apparently they are incredibly noisey. I had ku19's on the front before and they were very noisey especially through corners and if the 31's are the same then not really interested. Yea bullet PSS do everything right but price (for me). I could go through almost 2 sets of federals for the same price. T1's were again looked at but quite expensive and the as2's aren't available in the size I wantAlso considering downgrading to 19's n getting more profile on the tyre but not sure if I want to spend that much money as I'm pretty broke after my mods

I remember asking the local tyre guy once and he said they were up their price wise but only $170 on tirerack so might have to do a bit more research on them and get a local price

I will say that they do have less grip, but the feed back I get from the tire, I know when they are going to let go.I couldn't tell when the dunlops were going to let loose. Then again I don't have a tune done yet. I will have a tune done in a couple of months and then I shall let you know.
