My drivers window does exactly the same thing.  Very annoying.

that's normal. The delay should be a bit longer though so you can better control the window manually. An auto UP function would be good too.

The delay is almost non-existent. Is that what you are saying?

Yeah...even the wifes Daewoo is more functional...

Is it just me or do the driver elec windows always wana fully open when I hit down thus requiring a brief press of 'close' to stop them going all the way?

Yeah that's a pain in the a$$ isn't it?

I called Ford the day after I got the car to ask about that. The guy said they'd received a lot of complaints.

I'm sure they'll change the design after they start getting warranty claims on the mechnainism from people doing the brief press in the opposite direction routine as you say.

My now 7 yr old EL Ghia has had three of its windows mechanisms replaced. All I can say is I'm glad I took out the extended warranty to cover BS items like poorly designed electric windows.

Hmmm... don't suppose there's a hack for it? Anyone know? Fordtech? Anyone?

Turn the button upside down... that'll solve both those problems.

better brakes,better brakes,better brakes,better brakes,better brakes,

Oh and how about better brakes,

Unless they change the spec. of the pad material you can kiss goodbye any hope of improved brakes. A decision they could surely regret!

You've got to ask for things that are under the banner of "Continuous Product Improvement" and therefore will not add too much to the price of a base model.

So, IMO:

1. Improved standard brakes.

2. Yes to the sunglass holder.

3. Yes again to the footrest.

4. No handbrake rub

5. No stalling.

4. A few more Kw (Dont hold out for anything over 260)..... but hey......we of club XEDE aint complaining. ;)

If that's all done and the Lotto bird dont sh!t on me, I'll be lining up for another in approx 27 months.

Youbloodylittleripper....... :ta:

As did my AU XR6. It's about the only thing I miss from it.
