I check and made sure the top thermostat housing was bolted down firmly and correctly. The b@stard still leaks ! I am headed to ford to grab another gasket shortly, but most annoying thing is this has done it before, could the housing be farked or is it most likely just another rubber gasket. Would it be wrong of me to use some gasket goo or silicone to seal the top of the housing using a thin bead around the two joining parts? No more leaks since, however my mechanic says you need to make sure the gasket recess is clean from old gasket material and it needs to be tightened with a torque wrench otherwise they will leak again. Not sure what torque setting he used though.

I put some silicone on it tonight and cleaned the coolant stains off, so will take for a drive tomorrow after work and see how it holds up. I cleaned the recess out many times with a brush before fitting the new gasket but might have done a sh*t job. Will post tomorrow and see how it goes.
