Hi guys I've been doing some searching but now I'm more confused about the size of the wastegate actuator I need? The car is tuned at 10psi and lately I've been suffering from a boost leak around the turbo area and the car is surging as it comes onto boost, I've done the norm and checked all the pipes for splits and tightness as well as all the turbo bolts so I'm thinking it may be the actuator. Being new to turbos I was just wondering what size to get?

Yours is tuned to suit standard actuator so unless u want to retune stick with that. If u r getting retune always get an actuator which matches closest to your max boost. Standard dump etc??

Yeah still standard dump, the exhaust isn't though, I was checking out the turbo smart ones on eBay so would the 7psi ones do the job? The next size up on there is 12psi. Or can you get say 10psi ones from autobarn etc? I don't plan on getting another tune for a while yet

Ok well do you know what the standard actuator pressure is and ill just replace it with that

I read some where it was 11 psi. Don't quote me though.

Yeah going to upgrade the injectors and cooler at a later stage. I've ordered a turbo smart one which comes with 5psi, 7psi and 12psi springs. Failing that they told me I could use the spring in my standard 1. Would love to do the injectors and tune now but money won't permit atm lol

I just seen in Wikipedia that f6 boost is .91bar(13psi) in the Fg and .64 (9psi)on BA/BF. I can't seem to find the XR6qx boost thpugh
