Hey everyone,

Some bastard in a white BMW cut me off last week and forced me spin out into a park car (not f%*%*% happy) I love my ute. Has anyone got any ideas how to check if there is any structural damage as I can do my own panel work. Your input would be much appreciated.

It doesn't look to bad, you have to strip all the panels off first and look at the welds they can put it on a laser jig thing that measures points on the body to determine where everything should be proper panel beaters.

The damage doesn't look to bad to me but is the sill crinkly under the door ? hard to tell from your pictures

also is it a stat write off ? if it is will be more of a pita to get it back on the road have to get it all done properly

You probably won't know how bad it is until you try and gap your new bumper, guard, door and bonnet.

Same goes for when you try and get a wheel alignment.

Car-o-liner and jigs rarely get it back to 100%.

Easy, see those pics of the tail light and head light assemblies Wiggum? As you can see, they're not holding much indicator fluid anymore so it isn't running at its peak efficiency :spoton:

And the other creases in the door and quarter panel are just minor scratches, they add character to the car.

yeah, you'd have to throw it up on a alignment bed, and use measuring points to see if any damage has been done structually

but trust me, even if it does wheel align 100%, and the panelbeaters get it within 4mm (nrma spec) it wont ever be the same.

but that impact doesnt look that bad structually. new front guard/bonnet/headlight/bar, maybe a new skirt, new door, repair to A pillar, repair to rear quarter.

who are you insured with?
