This allows me to view the footage onto my smart phone and was pretty easy to as this system has an app.Works great via wifi but on you mobile phone server (Telstar for me) not so good would not connect. Battery life depends on what you have hooked up. Just plug the dvr and cameras in and you will get 30minutes minimum. Buy the biggest one you can afford as it will last longer. If it was me I would buy a 1500va one but they are pretty dear.
