I went the whole hog and fitted an xr8 steering reservoir and modded then hp steering line and pump so I had no rubbing issues. Cante find a pic from when the 3566r was still fitted but this pic should give you an idea on the amount of real estate in the area with those mods.

Wow, they both look like clean setups!

I was going to use an xr8 reservoir and relocate it but my intercooler piping is in the way.

Lucky its all done now.....

NOW I need to find someone who will tune it with HP edit so I don't have to spend $1500 on tuning with xcal etc.. lol

Here are a couple pics of the 4" intake!

Im sure you could get some 4 to 3 inch rubber piping from an autobahn/auto one/ super cheap or something to connect up to the under battery metal pipe? Can't remember off the top of my head how the 3inch rubber pipe use to look.

Or just run a 4inch 90 degree doser straight up to a mushroom pod.. aha

Nah, if I cant get a 4 inch pipe (Silicon or Rubber) under the battery then it will be an airbox that I will go with.

Don't care if I have to cut a bit of metal under the battery but it looks really tight there.

For $100 you can get you .50 cover machined to fit the existing under battery intake and WILL not affect the power or spool time.

Seen 480rwkw at 19psi through a GTX .50 cover machined out on E85 of course.

Will look stock still and you can re-use your existing actuator bracket:)

.50 cover lends itself more to high boost applications.

Many use it as it comes with turbo but you want to retain the old CAI and this will allow it.

On sell the .70 cover for $200 and more than pays for .50 cover machining.

Have a read up on Garrets website and look in the for sale section on AFF there is a 500km old GTX with machined stock cover and the car I was speaking of going for $1200.
