Recently I changed the oil to Penrite 10w40 everyday full synthetic which I use with great success in my cortina and v8 ltd, all 3 cars have similar mileage. Problem is under boost the xr6t is now blowing a bit of smoke!? The only thing that's changed is the oil, so I was wondering if anyone has any better recommendations? Or do I look at getting the valve seals in the head done? Faawks Member 20 Member For: 11y 11m 30d Posted 02/08/13 05:52 AM Author Share Posted 02/08/13 05:52 AM I had that issue with an older car but the turbo horrible. The turbo on this is near new, no shaft play at all, definitely not it's original turbo. Would the seal have gone that quickly?
