MY ROD GOT OUT Member 434 Member For: 14y 3m 9d Posted 22/08/13 07:03 AM Author Share Posted 22/08/13 07:03 AM Ok so changed map sensor to see if that was the cause, no luck. I will post up fuel trims Etc when I get home tonight to show what it's up to at idle. Have 2 well known people on here helping me work out what's going on but we are a little stuck. Going to chuck an external vac gauge on it asap just gotta track one down. Anyone else changed a full long motor from bf to fg and had idling issues?? MY ROD GOT OUT Member 434 Member For: 14y 3m 9d Posted 22/08/13 11:27 AM Author Share Posted 22/08/13 11:27 AM Yeh retuned mate, goes well when driving and doesn't use excess fuel while driving, only when it comes to idle it is overfueling badly!! MY ROD GOT OUT Member 434 Member For: 14y 3m 9d Posted 02/09/13 09:07 AM Author Share Posted 02/09/13 09:07 AM Ok so haven't put an external vac gauge on it yet but decided to get injectors cleaned and serviced. Still same drama!!! Compression test is 200psi across the board. Just wondering if a leak down test would show y there is such low vac? I have sprayed all manifolds over and over hoping to find a leak but got nothing. Vac reads 13/14hg opposed to 20hg on a healthy engine :( drives great other than the idle though.... MY ROD GOT OUT Member 434 Member For: 14y 3m 9d Posted 02/09/13 10:17 AM Author Share Posted 02/09/13 10:17 AM I'm thinking stuck valve maybe?? Gunna try some of that "sea foam" stuff if I can find it unless someone here knows of anything to put into inlet manifold to clean valves?? MY ROD GOT OUT Member 434 Member For: 14y 3m 9d Posted 10/09/13 05:19 AM Author Share Posted 10/09/13 05:19 AM Did leak down test (all good) and spent half the day trying different tune setups to get it to idle and got no where!!! Even chucked in a complete fg tune and still chewing fuel at idle. Going to have to put my bf cams in and see if this fixes the issue. Any other ideas guru tuners out there??
