Im going to put an exhaust in my FGxr6t, I was thinking about doing 3.5" from the turbo back with a highflow cat and a single muffler(possibly two).

I wanted to make it full stainless but im not sure if it will sound tingy or not.. most non turbo's sound tingy. and I wasnt sure if the turbo's would sound tough or just an annoying tingy sound.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Firstly you'll need a tune to do a turbo back exhaust..

Secondly the few I've heard with full stainless just sound like a turbo car with a big exhaust.. Nothing tingy about it..

Thirdly, most stainless systems are warranted for 10 years.. Mild for two years..

Fourthly, if you ever plan on going for performance with E85 stainless is the best option..

^ as he said.

From what I've read and spoken to exhaust shops mild can still be fine though on ethanol but you need stainless mufflers

As for the sound of stainless. Id say 80% or more of the guys on here with exhausts run stainless systems so can't be too bad

Is it correct that as they carbon up over a few weeks/months, they get deeper?

Hey mate ive just installed an xforce 3.5 turbo back stainless system with 2 mufflers and sounds unreal. and its only been a week so its got a bit of running in to do.

Single muffler would be pretty loud. In the cab its not heaps noisy though when your outside its tough. Hope it helps.
