shrunk Member 34 Member For: 12y 6m 22d Gender: Male Location: Christchurch, New Zealand Posted 30/07/13 08:47 PM Share Posted 30/07/13 08:47 PM Dropped the car off for a service this morning, and wheels were still at near full lock when parked which gave me the opportunity to spot something I hadn't noticed before...95% of the front tyres look perfect, I give them a quick visual inspection fairly often - when washing the car / wheel arches etc... but they were turned close to full lock when I parked the car this morning and I spotted that the inside edge is worn right down past the wire (and quite a bit past).It's not gradual wear, it's about a 45 degree angle of wear on the inner most 3cm of the tyre and deep.Will try get pics (if I don't end up getting the mechanic to get the alignment and new tyres before I pick it up)...But #$%, the rest of the tyres have a sh*teload of tread (at least 6-7mm right across the width of the tyre until you get to that last 3cm).
