Hey everyone,I have a budget of around $1500 for a kit, I wont be doing any turbo modifications any time soon as my budget doesn't stretch that far, id be more than content with 320-330rwkw (maxing out stock fg turbo) so I don't need an intercooler kit that's overkill, If I do run into more funds in the future id just buy whatever cooler is required at that point in time. So what would you guys recommend to me.
Thanks for your replies :)

Process west stage 1 is right on the limit of your budget if you want a high quality true bolt on kit. Hdi is decent from feedback ive read, Rapidsystems are cheap (1099$) for their size and are effective but require you to butcher the bar underneath your bumper..

You could always buy an FG F6 2nd hand cooler that would do you for around that power if you really want to save money.. probably pick one up for 150-200ish

out of curiosity Mick, what's the max 1 of these stepped coolers will run before you notice it's not doing enough and 'stopping' power?

ALSO, just noticed that Pit Lane are doing a group buy for this cooler

To my question above, Mick is obviously very busy so is anyone else able to answer for me

Cheers

Yea I think Kev's 46 is about to about 430rwkw at the moment

I wouldn't buy FG as incompatible with turbo side intake and apparently they sit very low and can have issues scraping

I wouldn't buy Rapid either. They're cheap and work but the amount of cutting involved is way too much. Also expect to wait and not get everything in one go.

I've been running a PW Stepped cooler for a while now and have been happy with it. With the standard fg turbo and standard cat back exhaust my car has run 122 mph at the track.

I think if you're keeping the standard turbo it would be your best option if you want a cooler that's fits with no cutting and if you get it in black you can hardly notice it when looking at the car.

thnx for the info ppl

I like the idea of not cutting the car to fit it as I'm not a big believer in removing bits - if they weren't needed, Ford would save money and not put it in.

Have ordered 1 in the group buy....cheers Mick
