OK guys I thought id start a topic,(if there isnt one already?) on us forum members helping each other out when purchasing a ford/fpv vehicle? if anyone is selling a specific vehicle and or wanting to buy one to post it up here and who ever knows of the cars history and if the cars advertised as described would be an advantage for all to try keep away the scammers and dodgy people trying to sell there lemons to other people? please I dont want people dissing other peoples rides, just honest information that can help out the indivdual whichever the state the car/s are in?

ill start.....lol

After alot of persuading my mate to sell his Expensive Daewoo and buy a ford he has given in and hopefully seen the light..his deliberating between a vz clubsport r8 and a bf typhoon..so my question is does anyone know this car in the Geelong area?? any info would be greatly appreciated....

Not a bad idea EFSIX just hope it works now.

There is still a lot of people that own T's that are not members to any forum group so that maybe the only down side to not knowing the details of the car in question/s

The add is no longer current on the Gumtree site.I live in Geelong but unfortunately don't know anything about this particular car.

It mentions Newtown, which is considered a very good area in Geelong but that may mean absolutely nothing in terms of a car's condition. :(

yeah I know there might be some flaws but sometimes a friend of a friend might know the car or has seen it..any helpful info would be a good thing I guess? but I was also thinking "say you want to buy a car from Melbourne, somewhere close to where I live per say and your in Nsw' I can do a good deed and go check out the car for you and give you a heads up before you decide to make a trip that may or may not be worth it..I know id like that in return?? its an idea?

yeah I know buds we went there today and picked it up lol..ended up buying it for $18,500 which is pretty cheap for an '05 bf typhoon with 70k on the clock..

I was indeed a nice area and the guy seemed pretty genuine so happy days for my mate who has tuned over a new leaf and seen the light..lol

Putting it that way it's still a good idea but..........

As long as the person who looked at the car doesn't get the finger pointed at if it's not what they though or if something brakes soon after buying. As you said doing a "GOOD DEED"

I would be more than happy to help out a fellow member and so would many other on here I just would hate for it to go down that path if something went wrong.

always agree with the idea of helping someone and I will also do my best to protect my good name (good name??? WTF) and give the best possible overlook of a used car for another person but bottom line will always be..............

my opinion only

&

buyer beware

hope your mates happy with his new car EF

I thinks its more go have a look at the car and give it your honest opinion,at the end of the day youd rather see the car your buying yourself but this is just a guide for the buyer/seller etc to give him an idea as ive heared some horror stories of people and friends buying cars and not looking at them? but yeah I would feel bad if something went wrong before of after for sure! I agree with you 100%
