FPV TRANNY Im the one and only Donating Members 3,557 Member For: 19y 10m 22d Gender: Male Location: In my house Posted 04/08/13 09:31 AM Share Posted 04/08/13 09:31 AM I had a similar problem with a stock KX 450F with 36 easy hours on it.When it was only 10 hours old it jumped the timing and possibly a valve kissed the piston.26 hours later it dropped a valve and lunched the head and piston.Head was a mess but we managed to repair it but still cost me over $2k in parts and labour to fix.It blew up again 2 hours after the rebuild by throwing a rod out the crank case.Point is that your valve could of been damaged like you said and failed 2 years later.I think the dealer has a case to answer,so keep applying the pressure and something will give.Good luck. I just don't understand when it was returned with the broken guide and sounding like it did why they didn't pull a plug and look with the endoscopeWhy would Ford want to look up your bum.But they could have used a borescope and looked down your cylinders.
