My new Atomic valve springs arrived today, and I am of mixed mids wether to get Atomic oil pump gears or a complete Atomic oil pump. I have not changed the engine cut so I dont think Ill be reving it too hard but I am running 405 rwkw any suggestions. Bearing in mind the gears are $600 and the pump is $1200 or near enough.

From what I was told, so long as you dont flog it on warm up and dont go limiter bashing it, you should be alright. I am making 455kw and still have the factory setup, be kind and it will last. If you have the spare cash and you want piece of mind, change it out for the full pump and gears. The pump from atomic has relief holes drilled in it to ensure over pressure situations dont happen and crack the housing.

Its quite involved to install oil pumps. Is your engine apart. We have them in our F6s. Its just another thing you don't have to worry about when its done.

Whats involved to fit, I would install a whole pump.

Im guessing timing cover, chain etc and maybe raidiator, Im getting valve spring done, so some of that has to be taken off anyway, trying to kill 2 birds...

Its usually the manuals that kill pumps, havind said that my tuner has done two FG autos in the last month but both cars get skidded regularly and see the limiter often

Ring Harrop they will tell you, cost is $1210 for the Centre plus $30 for shipping. I played this game a few weeks ago. Let me know if you want the exact part number and I will dig it up, I recommend ordering directly from harrop.
