Hey guys have an 08 FG xr6t and just took it in to get tuned and haven't been able to pick it up because it starts to miss and then dies. Car starts then you can give it a few revs, back off then about 20 seconds later it misses and dies.

Tuner won't be able to do anything till monday now but just thought I'd investigate myself. It happens with the new tune aswell a stock tune adjusted for injectors. Tuner reckons it could be either be an issue with the injectors or a problem with my x3

Parts list include:

Rapid cooler and turbo side

ID1000's

3.5" dump and cat

PW surge with walbro 460 pump

82 deg thermostat

0.75mm gapped NGK iridium plugs

X3 (bought second hand but is unmarried)

Anyone else had this happen?

Gentech have a fair decent rep, id say its a very good possibility of having the wrong scalers but he can get them off the id website if genuine ID

Heck I have the scalers but iam sure it will just be "one of those things" chit happens but I bet it gets sorted

Ps 0.75mm is fine iam running 0.70 fine

Yea genuine ID from Herrod's.

Someone mentioned coils and I have heard of them causing a miss. Will you only get a miss from coils after you give it some, or even leaving it idle for a few minutes will it miss? I think the car was only missing after giving it some

Just to add, never had this problem before the tune. Also its happening with stock tune with data for injectors to run, still could be valve springs? I thought valve springs would progressively do something like this, not just start after getting a tune straight away?
