Just out of curiosity what type of psi can these turbo's safely do.. 15psi from a stock turbo sounds like a lot of boost?

Chances are the bottom end in the BA will throw a rod before the turbo says no. After a port and flapper mod and proper supporting mods these turbos can do upwards 380rwkw @17-18psi. It's more about what your tuner is comfortable pushing through the turbo and engine.

Yea after more research iv come to realise the stock cam will suffice more than enough to get more power.

With 60lb injectors and a bigger fuel pump, 80lb valve springs, custom intake and VCT triple tune, I beleive reaching 300+ rwhp on moderate tune should be quiet easy and in the end, fitting all the parts with a couple of mechanics I know, plus the $1500 tune wont even set me back 3k in total. Seems like bang for buck in these things are right up there.

Mate I put up a post reguarding cams not long ago.. I ended up putting in atomic stage 4+ cams in my bf without a high stall auto and fixed gears!! (Which they recommend using to run these cams) no other mods other than springs I gained 40rwkw on the same boost! And the sound is unreal!

Have you a link to your thread HSV ETR ?

40kws is a decent gain without any increase in boost.

From what Brad told me the plus option was more critical to locking the cams... and a more noticeable lope to the idle

I also went atomic sprockets, timing chain, tensioner and harmonic balancer...with crow springs.

Yea brad warned that they definately need sprockets etc blah blah blah then I spoke to my tuner and he said he tuned plenty of fords with the 4+ cams without the requirements so I bit the bullet and trusted my tuner

Im sure it would sound grumpier with fixed gears and a stall cause from my understanding he did what he could to get the car to idle and it idles perfect at 1000rpm

Umm im computer illiterate lol how do u link?? Haha

Cheers for all the comments guys. Will take it all on board. My last question is if you think 133 000kms is to many kms to do the work to the ute without causing to many reliability issues. It shouldn't be considering I will be running a mild tune and only a weekend driver so wont be raping kms onto it.
