Is it the heat sheild on the exhaust? Otherwise it could well be the A pillar. :roflmbo:

the car went back to the dealership yesterday for the 5th time. I called in to see how it was going only to be told by the service manager that they cant find the noise, Ford will no longer be paying to find the noise as they have spent too long looking for it now, so just take your car and live with it.

Not happy. I had alot of time for the techs there I have known them for quite a long time, I understand their frustration not being able to find this rattle, BUT Ford made the noise they should be fixing it.

The noise sounds like it is coming from the base of the a pillar region. I can make it do the noise by reversing out of my driveway, down the gutter on an angle, or crawling over a spped bump slightly sideways. I even made the noise 6 times in the dealership driveway, but they still cant find it.

The noise has been described by one of their techs as sounding like two panels tapping or moving on one another.

But I just gotta live with it...no way.

Where do I go to now???

Any updates on this? I have my car at a Ford dealership here and they have spent a few days trying to find this ticking noise very similar to what is described here. They have had the dash off, tightened some screws behind the dash, and every bolt on the firewall, and now the ticking has turned into a 'groan' noise?
