Spiro doesn't run it that lean, more like .80

So could he be doing something else to compensate toads?

Raise fuel pressure. You mentioned your reg is standard though. Apart from that if your PCM is registering say 71 inHG at the top end then based on the speed density algorithm and a typical deka 80 high slope you're cutting it fine IMO. I'm not doubting your tuner and I'm not saying I'm right, however given the simplicity of the test (log) involved and the fact that it is free, I would advise doing a 3rd gear run to 5000rpm (in a safe location) and check your logged MAP, BAP, and Inj PW / IDC.

Mmm easiest thing to do is get someone who has done it before to show you, as it can be a pain the first time. Otherwise you need to do it with a laptop loaded with Livelink 6.5 (free from Herrods web site). You then need a A-B printer cable and you're ready! There is a few threads on logging somewhere. Worst case give me a PM/call!

Whenever I tried to log straight to the XCAL3 on my BFII it would read all zeroes after a second of running the engine and give up with an error message :(

Logging to laptop is best. Get a cheap small netbook with good battery life!

Gone from E55 to E85 and now sit at 17.5ltrs/100kms so not too bad imo.

Using Siemens 80lb injectors and also VP Racing alcohol additive for extra lubrication the fuel system which treats @200ltrs for $35.
