Hi

Does anyone know the requirements for mounting a gopro in the cabin during a CAMS event? I've got the official suction cup mount, but I'm not sure if that's enough, Ive heard you need two mounts?

Thanks

I mounted mine to windscreen with a sticky mount. Impossible to come off

Sticky as in permanent?

I've got confidence in the suction cup, I've used it just driving around to experiment. But if its not going to pass scrutinising I'll have to come up with something else.

I'm thinking of mounting it on the upper part of the windscreen, in front of the rear view mirror with the suction cup, then using a cable tie to the mirror. Not sure if the mirror can support the weight if something did happen though.

Where do others mount?

Generally the CAMS scrutineers aren't too picky about the camers, unless it hinders the drivers view. Just take a length of string and tie it on to something as a precaution.

We are always told if running cameras that you need to have a cable tie over the case to hold the camera on, I think it's so if it does come out it's not rolling around the floor and getting stuck under pedals etc... but as usual, depends on the scrutineer
