You'll end up with the situation that they Commode doors have. You think yay an HSV to have a drag with from the lights!! roll the window down and blip the throttle ( listern for the same ) HEY that's not an HSV!! Its a sh*tty pushrod Buick in wolves clothing. If they want an XR buy one. All fair making your car look good but do woith after market gear. We pay for that little XR badge.

I think its much worse putting the front end on slow cars. at least with the t engine they go fast. this falls into the same basket as putting aftermarket VT hsv body kits on VN executives.

I personally dont think the dealers should be doing this, but like it or not.... some owners will probably fit XR fronts on their stockers because they look so fantastic compared to the stock fronts.......they were doing it 30 years ago with statesman fronts on HQ's and LTD fronts on the Fords.

I think if they made XR tray backs, then less of this would happen.

You can get XL's and XLS's with the side style box you know.

I have seen actual XR's (not BA's, only AU's) with trays, all you have to do is take off the box and stick a tray on there.

If you want to look like an XR you should have bought one!

But on the other hand people are putting XR8 bonnets on their XR6T's, it much the same thing in my opinion.

people don't just buy XR's because of the look. How about performance?
