Hey guys and girls, After being a Expensive Daewoo man since I can remember and well I guess I still sorta am, after the real hype that the FG F6s generated I decided to jump into one and see what all the hype was about. Now for a stock car I was impressed even more impressed with how well it went for an auto so the inevitable happened and I managed to pick up a vixen red 2010 F6 with low Ks for a pretty decent price so im stoked. Anyways guys ive only just joined the site and ive had a read through alot of the performance threads and stuff and since this car is going to be my daily im only looking to pick up around 40-50rwkw above stock just to give it that extra oomph. Now after doing some extensive research im fairly sure that im going to go with autotechs stage one plus kit which includes

-Upgraded dump pipe

-Hiflow cat converter

-Xcal tune

and im also gonna go ahead with a herrod piping kit for safety.

Id just like to ask for the guys that have had this done how does the car perform over stock? and another question I have is that alot of you guys chose to upgrade your coolers pretty much strait of the bat even with cars running similar power im hoping to get and you guys have achieved it with a cooler and tune. Now do you guys think the stock cooler is ok for this power or do you think the cooler is a neccessary upgrade at even this power level I know it probs isnt but im paranoid ive always had a Expensive Daewoo V8 as my toy and dont know much about these turbos so the advice would be appreciated. P.S I wont be going any further with mods so I wouldnt be upgrading the cooler in prep for later upgrades if you get what I mean. Thanks.

The reason to get a better cooler is to provide more dependable, repeatable power.

Besides cooling the air to reduce IAT, the better your cooler the less pressure drop it will exhibit, meaning your tuned car doesn't have the turbo working as hard to make xxx power, less heat in engine bay and longer turbo life.

Also avoiding heat soak during repeated runs, you may find depending on power levels that the stock cooler drops significant power if you give it a bootful a few times in a row, or on hotter days.

Edit - for over 300rwkw I'd certainly get a better cooler. Nizpro, Process West, Plazmaman are the 3 names that crop up the most in terms of 'best' coolers.

Edit again - injectors will keeep you honest I guess, I forget what stock FG F6 ones max out at.
