I'd say you'd get a few rwkw with a good intake, but the computer can only adjust so much to the new air flow.Tuning can then open up all sorts of new power with the right mods! As someone who had a tuned BA, I can say that a tuned car feels like a completely new vehicle over stock. I'm seriously excited even thinking about what potential my F6 has!Best thing to do is save up and get all your mods done at once then mate. All the best,Dan

PLUS the panel and intake muffler delete.Long and the short of it.... easier air flow to and from turbo = power gainI had K&N panel, intake muffler delete and a stock FG F6 (restrictor ring still in) which went 291rwkw (no tune)added turbo mod, PW2 cooler, Manta 4" to twin 3", surge, 4" hole in air box and ID1000's. 387rwkw (Monsta Torque tune)cheers Edited 06/07/13 02:56 AM by Chaos310

Manual or Auto?I've got a manual and with very little outlay, it performs very well.If you're ever in the area Malaga/Ballajura, let me know if you're keen to go for a drive in it fo a little insight into what you can expect.cheers

Mine is an auto After my NCW is up, I'm planning on doing a few simple mods, without going over the top. Possibly just cat, tune and injectors as I'm not after a huge power figure. After that, I'd be looking into Surge tanks, Coolers/pipe kits, intakes etc which is a little more than I'm after. I think I'll be more than happy with some minor mods that keep the car looking and sounding as legal as possible.Hopefully we can catch up on a cruise or something?Cheers mate,Dan

Probably due to the new KN filter more than anything but the low end torque and responsiveness is noticably better. The guy I bought it off said you would have to Dyno the thing to really see differnce and it's probably in the area of about 5-10Kw and similar NM gain. I think I am certainly getting that and perhaps more. The induction noise is also quite increased and nice to hear under acceleration. I also have an SS big mouth which I had before the Herrod, and even though there is a "gap" between the 2 I'm sure the funneling of air from the grill up into the entry pipe of the Herrod is giving me more performance again. The Herrod is a very nice piece of kit and very well built. You can find pictures of them installed on the net and on this forum. Might actually pix mine with the big mouth if I get a chance. Before I got all this I rang the Insurance company AAMI to see if this would impact insurance premium and they said no. Only more significant mods like chips and other undercover mods increase the premium. Even though my car is out of warranty the insurance company said that these mods should not void warranty as there are no actual engine mods happening, all we are doing is channeling more air into the engine. I checked my dealer and they agreed with that but I guess it would pay to double check with your own dealer and get it in writing. I think the CAI mods are very worthwhile and for about $500 you do notice a difference. CheersPete,Any chance of photo's of the herrod and big mouth set up?Cheers. To be fair, I think the stock filter was due to be replaced which might have accounted for some of that gain.

Economy (on dash, which apparently isn't brilliantly accurate) went from 11.9 down to 11.3 soon after. A little more intake and turbo noise.
