Bugger all.. I'd recommend a K&N panel filter.. Should be enough.. Maybe a F6 lower snorkel.. Still wont see any gain without a tune and a couple other goodies..

You can do all bolt on mods and tune a car to increase power. It will not void your warranty. The dealer MUST prove your modifications are the cause. I have tuned cars in the past and when customers have told me I have voided there warranty I have taken the car to the dealers and told them what I have told you. Needless to say, the dealer has always fixed it. "This has included a melted piston in a 2010 diesel hilux" That is law and I will do my best to dig up the paperwork for you. Was really keen on getting a nice intake like a PW or something, but as stated the gains will not be much without a tune and supporting mods. If you do decide to mod down the track, you could look at a turbo side intake/battery relocation kit. Air then has much shorter distance to flow... Although would be a warranty concern I'd think so maybe after NCW is out if you're still interested?I put a 33-2950 K&N panel filter in the F6 the other day and the car feels the same. Maybe a touch more responsive... Haven't had it in long enough to see fuel consumption benefits though (If there are any)I bough the filter mainly to eliminate the replacement of the paper filter at service intervals. A paper filter is approx $40 while my K&N was $70 from ebay. As long as you keep it clean and oiled, I'd say it's a good bet.Cheers,Dan

I have an fg f6 2012 with a 5 year warranty and do not want to void it.Do any of you know if I would gain any power at all and if so which one would you recommend ?Thank you ppl I recenty put a Herrod CAI on my FG6T and I noticed a difference straight away. Probably due to the new KN filter more than anything but the low end torque and responsiveness is noticably better. The guy I bought it off said you would have to Dyno the thing to really see differnce and it's probably in the area of about 5-10Kw and similar NM gain. I think I am certainly getting that and perhaps more. The induction noise is also quite increased and nice to hear under acceleration. I also have an SS big mouth which I had before the Herrod, and even though there is a "gap" between the 2 I'm sure the funneling of air from the grill up into the entry pipe of the Herrod is giving me more performance again. The Herrod is a very nice piece of kit and very well built. You can find pictures of them installed on the net and on this forum. Might actually pix mine with the big mouth if I get a chance. Before I got all this I rang the Insurance company AAMI to see if this would impact insurance premium and they said no. Only more significant mods like chips and other undercover mods increase the premium. Even though my car is out of warranty the insurance company said that these mods should not void warranty as there are no actual engine mods happening, all we are doing is channeling more air into the engine. I checked my dealer and they agreed with that but I guess it would pay to double check with your own dealer and get it in writing. I think the CAI mods are very worthwhile and for about $500 you do notice a difference. Cheers

The filter gives a little more induction roar and the rapid kit makes the turbo whistle probably twice as loud under full boost.Great way to get a bit more noise without voiding warranty or spending a fortune - If that's what you are after?Otherwise do all your mods at once so you can get the most out of a high flowing airbox.Cheers,Dan
