so its time for a new diff in my fg xr6 turbo ute. the original one has had it again. this will be the 3rd rebuild in 240000 kms. should I put a standard one in or go for an aftermarket one. I want to get at least another 3 yrs out of the ute so that's at least another 150000kms. any ideas as to which make of diff is best??

My utes done 100,000 and the LSD has gone. I'm going for a true Trac as I don't want to be rebuilding diffs constantly. It's a bit pricey at around $1600,but its $1000 to rebuild the diff in it now so I figured I'd go aftermarket.

I've got the trutrac done 35000 k's no problem.puts power down 3 x better than stock lsd. But clunky and annoying at low speed. They also click when you back off or power on.which is ok. But it sounds like a stuffed cv. Both of these issues woild make it hard to sell later. If anyone says they dont make these noises they are full of it. They have about 10mm backlash that's how they are

Mines manual. Probably would not notice clunkiness with an auto
