Does anyone have any experience on how much lag there would be in an auto? The 35 if you've not built your motor and only want to spend 2k max. The 42 8f your budget is 5k and a built motor. The 42 will be about 400 - 500 rpm more laggier than the 35.Ethanol fixes a lot if the lag these days though.Best you set yourself a goal and budget select the right turbo from there. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/85512-gtx4202-lag-in-an-auto/#findComment-1403988 Share on other sites

I guess the 35 will take an engine to 550kw and I own a G6ET so there is a lot to be done to make a kinda reliable 400kw. If I am still hungry at those power figures. Then I will upgrade again. Thanks again for your input. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/85512-gtx4202-lag-in-an-auto/#findComment-1404008 Share on other sites

Do you think putting a gtx4202r on an engine to make 500kw just for the cooler intake charge would be worth it. I could be making more power on less boost and there would be less heat in the engine bay due to the turbo not being pushed as hard. I am running a 1000hp nizpro cooler. Or do you think it would be negligible and my money would be better spent on a nice efficient turbo manifold.
