Hey guys, im new to the forums!

Just ditched my VY ss and picked up a lovely Ba xr6 turbo

absolulty love it from bumper to bumper!

Need some help with a few little problems.

Firstly the heater was working fine just until yesterday! checked coolant and looked fine! any ideas?

secondly I hear a hissing noise coming out the passenger footwell took no notice over it prior to last night!

lastly am I the only one complaining about the petrol on these cars? lol at first I thought it was just because it was a big turbo car but im looking at filling up every 4 days but keep in mind I dont like it getting lower than 100kms to go!

any advice is greatly appreciated

cheers guys.

Hey Kadburyxr6t and welcome to the forum. I am no pro, but I am sure someone will come along and make a suggestion in regards to your heating and coolant issue.

In regards to fuel consumption, how many Km are you getting per tank? I get about 500 to 550km depending on how I drive. Do have an FG though and not a B.A.

Are you using your trip computer to work out your fuel consumption?

Hey Kadbury,

What exactly is wrong with the heater? Doesn't work at all? Or you can't change temps? The BA's had a plastic 'mixer' behind the face of the ICC which is used to control the temperature via the knob on the front. They are prone to snapping and this may explain why it's not hot...?

I'm not sure about the hissing. May be a hose on the passenger side? A problem with the door seals? Can you give us some more info?

Fuel is usually dependent on how hard you drive. My BA XR6T used 13.8L and that was pretty sedate. My new FG F6 uses 12.7 and that's driven the same way. Start sinking the boots in and it will easily go up to 'hard driven' V8 figures.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome!

Dan
