One car I've always missed was my 323. The main reason I missed it was because it was the ultimate sleeper.

Wanting another sleeper I needed a good base to start with. As much as I love old cars, the availability of spare parts is getting very thin. I wanted something that had potential to blend in with the crowd and something that was easy to get parts for so I picked up a low K BF XR6T on the weekend.
I'm about to go overseas but will get into it once I get back.

In basic:
-Chaser wheels
-Lower and stiffer suspension
-Mods to get me to about 350-400kw
And that's about it 8-)

So here it is:

First job was to fix the manifold leak I heard when on the test drive. Didn't take long to find:

Went through and tightnened all the lose bolts and replaced a couple of missing bolts and a stud.

One of the idlers was noisy too, I will get a kit for it in the upcoming weeks but for now I serviced the bearing:

New wheels arrived this morning:

I will chase down another pair that I will get widened.

Blending fail @ first mod.

No Falcons come stock with chasers.....it'll stand out like dogs balls.

Cool. I must of been imagining it when my new falcon ute came with chasers, when my parents bf had 16" chasers, when 3 of my ef/el's had chasers.
Lots of taxis/ex taxis also run chasers.
I see falcons day in day out with chasers.

Let me rephrase that....

No BA/BF/FG XR Series Falcon came with just chasers & san's hubcaps for good measure.

I'm not knocking what your trying to do, just dont call it sleeper.

He wasn't knocking you yet your retort showed nothing but arrogance.

He merely pointed out that your car is going to be blatantly obvious that it's an attempt at a sleeper. Making it not a sleeper. A real sleeper looks stock but goes like a demon, not a xrT in VR Late model camira burnout spec.

I however was mocking your arrogance towards criticism and logic.

Look at my pic vvvvvvv Sleeper I think not, and if they were black even worse I think...

Just leave the std wheels on then it'll look like any other std XR, I think is where they were getting at...
