Chances are ya over revved it and through it into an overspeed limp. It's common in the zfs, mine use to do it all the time with anything over 63/6500rpm.

The passes you've done don't show anything as far as potential power, get some descent tyres and string a full pass together. A massive burnout isn't always the answer you can over cook a set of tyres which is just as bad as under doing it maybe even more dangerous.

I'll post in this topic again after I have ran with E/T Tyres a few times,

and have slips and see if I can gain some insight!

Anyway great to swap my rex for a XR6T. Either way 400+rwkw is FUN. Best car purchase I've ever made!!!

It is a very good point about power and 1/4 Mph.( don't always mate)

I know a few guys running that much power and they do not go into limp mode, maybe the tune is not right.

As John stated 450 should net you 136 MPH.

Get some MT ET Streets and see how you go.

Ya mph will pretty much take care of its self with traction and more time in the seat will see ya times come down, good luck

Mine would still go into limp when I ran pump fuel and gate pressure but it mainly happens when theres wheelspin at high rpm and ya hit that point hard. Some seem to have the issue and others not, for some reason I have a knack of finding that limp mode when I'm racing someone else's car that has a zf, must be just hard on gear lol

The ZF box went into limp mode on my first run, I have done 2x 4L60E gearboxes(ls1's) at the Drags best part about this one was, I rang my tuner and he said''Turn the ignition off then back on and see how you go". It worked!! and I ran two more runs, and its fine now, gotta like that. Apart from the Drags I don't do burnouts, so it doesn't hit the limiter so you are most likely correct there, I have been known to spin the wheels whilst doing about 100kph on a private tarred farm road! I run 98 BP ultimate, I don't believe e85 is appropriate for my daily driver when its hard to obtain apparently.

It's a simple fix but still a pain, I use to have to turn it off after every burnout :/

E85 is becoming more available all the time and if ya setup for it an awesome bit of kit. More power will only make it go into limp mode more often if it is an issue. Still worth trying though especially if you do persist with racing it
